Bed Bug Local Chemical Treatment Instructions

Before we arrive for our first treatment the following is a list of what you need to do to be ready for treatment:

Start by bagging all fabric items in the room(s) to be treated. This includes, but not limited to, all clothing, bedding, linens, and curtains. Place all of these items in bags to be taken to a laundry facility, wash in extremely HOT water and Dry for 30 minutes at a temperature of 175°. DO NOT wash clothing AT YOUR HOME as you may spread the infestation around. You must either remove and dispose of all furnishings that are stuffed, such as mattresses, box springs, sofas, chairs, etc…
Or we can Fumigate your belongings in our chamber to eradicate ALL bedbugs and their eggs. This will eliminate the need to replace infested furnishings, thus saving you money!
Now your room(s) should be mostly empty.

Initial Treatment:
We will take out your empty drawers and spray them, then we will spray the under side of the dresser. We will then spray all the walls and the carpeting very heavy for bed bugs. After this, the home will need to stay vacant as the bed bugs will be actively trying to avoid the pesticide. You must vacate the premises for a minimum of 24 hours.

After Initial Treatment:
On the second day you may return to the room with some exceptions, NO MATTRESS! You will need to use an air mattress for the entire treatment process, several weeks, before it is safe to put bedding back. We recommend that you don’t avoid sleeping in the infested room, because the bed bugs will find you and possibly spread the infestation to other rooms. We also recommend waiting to put back your clothes and personal items for two reasons. First, you could re-infest your belongings and second, you have to do this five more times, so the less you have to move the better.

Treatment #2, #3, #4, #5 & #6
As like the first treatment we need everything out of the room(s) so we can treat everything. During treatments #2-6 we recommend you be out of the home for at least 6 hours.

After Treatment #2, #3, #4, #5 & #6
Like before, you may put the air mattress in the room and sleep on it, but wait until the sixth treatment to start moving your clothes, shoes, toys, etc. back in the room(s).

After Treatment #6
It has now been 1-1/2 months of treatments and if all procedures were followed you can put a regular bed back in the room now. Be sure to verify with the technician that it is safe to do so.

Treatment/Inspection #7 & #8
For the next month we will come out every other week to inspect and treat if necessary!
